2 Day Surf Camp Curriculum

Welcome to the E Street Surf School! This condensed 2-day curriculum is designed for beginner young surfers, focusing on essential safety, fundamental skills, and ensuring a fun introduction to the ocean. Each session is 2 hours long and includes a dedicated snack and hydration break.

Camp Overview

Duration: 2 Days Session Length: 2 Hours/Day Target Audience: Beginner

  • Introduce core surfing techniques and ocean safety.

  • Build initial comfort and confidence in the water.

  • Provide a fun and positive first surfing experience.

Daily Schedule

(2 Hours)

  • 0-15 mins: Welcome & Warm-Up (Fun games, dynamic stretching, safety reminder)

  • 15-50 mins: Lesson Focus & Demonstration (On-sand practice: Wetsuit & Leash, Board Carrying & Waxing)

  • 50-90 mins: In-Water Practice & Coaching

  • 90-105 mins: Snack & Hydration Break! (Recharge and refuel)

  • 105-115 mins: Fun Surf-Related Activity/Game

  • 115-120 mins: Wrap-Up, Q&A, and Next Day Preview/Review

Ocean Ready & Board Basics &

Pop-Up Power

  • Learning Objectives:

    • Understand basic ocean safety (rip currents, waves, marine life).

    • Learn how to safely carry, handle, and wax a surfboard.

    • Properly put on a wetsuit and attach a leash.

    • Become comfortable submerging and holding breath briefly underwater.

    • Reinforce all safety concepts and good surf etiquette.

    • Master prone paddling technique on the board.

    • Practice "prone riding" (catching waves lying down)

    • Learn the proper pop-up technique (on sand and in water).

    • Understand how to get into a stable and confident surf stance.

    • Review all safety concepts and good surf etiquette.

    • Demonstrate improved overall comfort and confidence in the water.
