Mid-Summer Dispatch from E Street Surf School
We are officially in the thick of summer, and we wanted to take a moment to pause, check in, and extend a huge thank you to everyone who has paddled out with us so far this season.

Midsummer Dispatch from E Street Surf School
Hey everyone, Tom and Reid here!
Running E Street Surf School is a true labor of love. For me (Tom), it’s a blend of over 30 years of teaching, coaching, and a lifelong passion for surfing. Being able to bring all of those years of experience together to connect with people on a real, personal level is what it’s all about. Every lesson, camp, and event gives us a chance to share the ocean with an amazing community, and we don't take that for granted.

Community First & Giving Back
Making sure the ocean is accessible to everyone while taking care of our coastline is at the heart of what we do.
Phillips Exeter Academy Beach Cleanup: Back in July, E Street sponsored a beach cleanup with students from Phillips Exeter Academy, and it was a total success! It was eye-opening to see what the students pulled off the beach... from old buried blankets to broken beach chairs. Massive thanks to everyone involved for keeping our shores clean.
Free Surf Experiences: We’ve already hosted six free surf experiences for local first responders, military members, and educators! Getting these folks out onto the water to unwind and catch waves has been deeply rewarding.
Proud Partners with The Key Collective: We are proud to partner with The Key Collective to help eliminate financial barriers for youth in sports and recreation, providing local kids access to our surf programs and camps.
Being Good Neighbors in Rye
As summer reaches its peak, our coastal towns naturally get very busy. We know that the influx of traffic and parking congestion in Rye can feel overwhelming for local residents and neighbors.
We want to encourage everyone in the E Street family.. whether you're dropping off for camp, taking a private lesson, or just stopping by, to be exceptionally respectful, mindful, and appreciative of the Rye community and its residents. Please park mindfully, drive slowly through neighborhood streets, and help us keep the beach environment positive for everyone.
When it comes to local parking policies and decisions, we view that as a matter for the town of Rye and its voters to decide, and we are supportive of whatever outcome the community chooses. Our core priority is simple: get people in the water safely, teach them how to surf, and share the joy of the ocean.
Midsummer Announcements & Gear Drop
2027 Camp Priority Notification List is Open! We know it’s early, but after filling up so quickly this season, we wanted to make sure our loyal crew gets first dibs. If you want early-bird notification when 2027 camp spots open up next year, jump on our Priority Notification List now so you don't miss out!
Fresh Gear in Stock: We are now officially selling 8-foot and 9-foot Rock-It soft-top surfboards, along with 9-foot leashes to pair with them. Plus, we’ve restocked our usual lineup of hoodies, hats, long-sleeve shirts, and tanks. Grab yours at your next session!
Show Us Some Love with a Google Review: If you’ve joined us for a lesson, a camp, or a private event, would you take a quick minute to leave us a Google review? As a small, local business, your feedback genuinely helps us get on the map and helps other future surfers find us!
