Mini-Grom Mondays 4 Night Surf Camp

A high-energy, safe, 4 night introduction to the ocean on Mondays where 5 to 8 year olds build water confidence and catch their first waves through guided play and hands-on instruction. Drop-ins welcome.

General Information

  • Where do we meet for sessions in Rye? All Rye sessions meet at E Street Surf School, 2203 Ocean Blvd, Rye, NH. We are located at Common Roots. Depending on the time of your session, we will meet either inside the shop or just outside... look for the E Street team!

  • Where do we meet for sessions in Hampton? 8th St., The Wall in Hampton, around 799 Ocean Blvd. typically on the beach.

  • What should we bring? We provide the surfboard and leash, and we provide wetsuits if needed! Students should bring a towel, warm clothes for afterward, sunscreen (applied before arrival), and water.

  • What about the paperwork? All participants are required to sign a waiver before entering the water. For minors, this must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. This can usually be completed online during the booking process or at the shop upon arrival.

  • What happens if the ocean is flat? It is very rare for the ocean to be completely flat on the Seacoast. Even on smaller days, there is almost always enough wave energy for beginners to learn and have a great session. If conditions are truly unsafe (such as lightning), we will notify you regarding a reschedule.

  • Do I need experience for Ladies Night or Sunset Surf? Not at all! These sessions are for all levels. Whether you are catching your first wave or working on your technique, our coaches tailor the instruction to you. These fill up very fast!

Program Specifics

  • How do the Monday Night Mini-Grom sessions work? These typically run as 4-week sessions in June, July, or August. However, drop-ins are welcome for $55 per session if space allows. With a 3:1 safety ratio, we ensure our youngest surfers (ages 5–8) are well-supervised and having fun.

  • What exactly is an "E Street Takeover"? A Takeover is a private, customizable surf event perfect for families, wellness studios, or local businesses. These can be catered and can include a photographer or videographer to capture your session. Because these are custom events, please call us at 1-603-770-5308 to set yours up.
